Learning to See

A pause to observe, to understand, and to know ourselves a little deeper.

2/3 (16 hours) + 1/3 (8 hours) = 24 hours.

Generally, we spend around two-thirds of our days with our eyes open, engage with the world, but how often do we truly see? From the moment we open our eyes in the morning, our attention is constantly moving - to-do lists, conversations, expectations.

Perhaps seeing is not only an act of the eyes, but an act of presence.

From Looking to Seeing

Looking is when we recognise what is in front of us.
Seeing is when we allow ourselves to experience it.

Perhaps, pause for a moment and gently shift the way you see life. What if everything that exists is simply an experience waiting to be witnessed?

Everything we see in nature (Prakriti) provides an object of perception, while we continuously receive impressions through our five senses (pancha indriya), often without awareness or discernment. We absorb, identify with, and carry these experiences without pausing to understand their subtle patterns. So, how do you define yourself?

Everything we experience - our bodies, thoughts, emotions, relationships, and circumstances - is constantly changing. Yet beneath these changing experiences lies the Self, ever-present and unchanging.

When we cease identifying with what comes and goes, rest in our true nature, it's the quiet stability that remains through every season of life.

Returning to Ourselves

When we slow down enough to observe the world, we also begin to observe ourselves.

We begin to understand that we are always choosing our experience and the direction we move forward - without forcing the outcomes.

A little patience for the slow unfolding of life.
You're already here. No rush.

Perhaps we are simply learning how to see.
Enjoy the journey :)
